The County Marathon is a Boston Qualifier
The course begins in Wellington Ontario and finishes in Picton Ontario. The entire course is closed to vehicular traffic. With exception to a few gentle hills (38 km being the largest), the course enjoys very little elevation. The Half Marathon begins at the mid-point at 21.1 km, 2 hours after the start gun goes off for the Full.
The County Marathon, and Half Marathon, will follow the routes used in past years, before downtown Picton construction – which has now concluded. All races will continue to finish in Picton at the Fair Grounds, with the full marathon (6:30AM bus departure for Wellington), and Half Marathon (8:00AM bus departure for East Lake) starting at their established locations.
Relay runners will be bussed to their start location. Adequate parking is available at the Picton Fairgrounds. No parking is available at the start of the half or relay transitions. All transportation busses depart from the Picton Fairgrounds.
